Add a company

Companies are the main records that are tracked and updated using Venture Tracker. Each company will have it's own meeting notes, funding events, mentor assignments and more.
Your program may not use the term company - it may be founders, ventures, members or some other term, but this will be the name of the basic entity that you wish to track in the system. 1). We will generally use the term company within the help pages, however.
Meeting Logs
The most basic level of Venture Tracker provides a way of adding notes for all meetings with a company.
- Click on a company name in the Companies List view to see details about that company
- After general details about the company will be a tabbed section of the page with various information displayed, depending upon the enabled options in your Venture Tracker.
- However, the first tab will always be 'Meeting Logs' 2)
- When you wish to add notes, click the '+ New Log' button to the right hand side. A new empty log will be created and the page will refresh
- Start typing into the light blue box.
- Your text will be auto-saved every few seconds, or you can click the 'Save' button yourself at any time
- Rechecking the text log will open it again for further editing.
In general, you can only edit your own logs unless you have additional permissions. The ability to click into a log for editing only applies to logs from that day. If you wish to change a log entry in the future, you can open it using the Edit icon
